37th Annual Avalon Harbor Underwater Cleanup 2018

USC’s Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber and Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies – Catalina Conservancy Divers are proud to host this annual event. This is the only time scuba diving is allowed in Avalon Bay, with 500+ expected volunteer divers collecting trash and debris. Awards ceremony follows on Wrigley Stage with prizes & giveaways. Proceeds benefit the USC Hyperbaric Chamber and the Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies Scientific Diving Program.

Windward Beach Cleanup (2nd Saturday each month) - January, 2018

Volunteer in the great outdoors while combing the sand for debris to help keep our windward beaches pristine. Clean-up locations (Shark Harbor, Little Harbor, Ben Weston and Cottonwood) rotate throughout the year. Catalina Island Conservancy.

NYE at El Galleon and Antonio's Cabaret - 2017

Dual Party – tickets good for both restaurants! Join us from 8:30pm to 1am. Includes party favors and champagne at midnight.  Live Dixieland dance music at Antonio’s Cabaret and Karaoke party at El Galleon. Children welcome at Antonio’s, pizza served until midnight. Holiday Season Celebration presented by Catalina Island Museum

Holiday Season Celebration presented by the Catalina Island Museum. Christmas Songs performed by a select group of Avalon Students and children from the McCoy Rigby Conservatory of the Arts, followed by a screening of It’s a Wonderful Life.

A one-night shopping extravaganza with holiday discounts of 10-25%, strolling Victorina costumed Holiday Carolers and prize drawings! Shop Catalina Night kicks off at Wrigley Stage at 5pm with a holiday tree lighting ceremony and arrival of Santa and his “helpers” on a City of Avalon Fire Truck.

Pick up your Shop Catalina Treasure Card and month-long Discount Card, then hit the town and shop til you drop. Have your picture taken with Santa when you bring two canned goods to the food drive at El Galleon from 6pm-8:30pm. Shop Catalina event produced by the Catalina Island Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau.
